RETURNING FROM LOCK DOWN – RESTRICTIONS AND COVID SUPPORT

Monday, November 9th, 2020

To all our members

We are returning back to gymnastic lessons today, 9th November, after another period of lockdown. When lessons resume this evening we will continue to strictly apply all the guidelines and regulations with regard to COVID-19. Welsh Gymnastics have stated that all 11 year olds and over can continue gymnastics indoors up to a maximum of 15 gymnasts in attendance at any one time. This will not affect the children who are under 11 provided that the ratio of adult supervision is in place.

We have looked at our membership and the children that are in this category and will send emails to any groups should they be affected by the restrictions. We hope to continue lessons as per our normal programme as possible.

COVID SUPPORT AT ALL LESSONS

In order for lessons to run, we do need volunteers from parents/carers, to act as COVID Support throughout the different lessons. This involves:

Safe distancing is maintained
sanitising hands at appropriate times
cleaning of appropriate equipment after use and before start of next lesson (use of apron and gloves and correct cleaning materials)
safe arrival and dispersal of gymnasts
marking the register and checking temperature
control of entry to the gym

We will need 2 x volunteers for each lesson. Please let us know if you are able to support the lessons post-lockdown. Without COVID support, we will not run the lessons, thank you.
