As we all are now aware, Wales will be going into a National Lockdown with effect from 6pm on Friday 23rd October 2020. Welsh Gymnastics have also made a statement regarding gymnastic sessions over this period of lockdown. The statement from Welsh Gymnastics is as follows: Welsh Government announce details of circuit-breaker lockdown The First Minister has announced a circuit-breaker lockdown is to be introduced across Wales from 6pm on Friday 23 October until Monday 9 November.

As a result of this, it is regrettable that all gymnastics activity indoors, as well as activity outdoors with people outside of your own household, must once again cease for this short period.  The Welsh Government is asking everyone in Wales to stay at home as much as possible.

You can continue to exercise outdoors, but it should start and finish at home (unless there are mobility issues) and exercise should be done alone – or only with those you live with.  Extensive FAQs, including sections on sport and exercise, are available on the Welsh Government website here:

As an alternative to missed lessons during lockdown, we will be offering on line zoom sessions. All members who have completed the new registration form and who are members of Welsh/British Gymnastics will be emailed by the Academy to attend an appropriate ZOOM session during the lockdown period. If you have not already done so, please make sure your child has re-registered with Welsh Gymnastics and that you have completed the new registration form (which was sent to you and completed at the one-to-one appointment).  Please check your email and spam inbox regularly for updates from CNGA – thank you.
